It's official. The Media Village has been appointed as an Autodesk Silver Partner for Media and Entertainment in Singapore. As part of the partnership, The Media Village is able to offer the entire range of M&E solutions to it's clients. This includes products like 3D Studio Max, Maya, Smoke for Mac; as well as the high-end Creative Finishing products such as Smoke Advanced, Flame and Flame Premium.

NEW SALES
We're pleased to have Filem Nasional (FINAS) as our latest DaVinci Resolve customer in Malaysia. With a 4GPU Linux configuration, we look forward to seeing more Malaysian movies colour-graded with DaVinci Resolve. The project also included our technical team integrating a 64TB BrightDrive G2 system and a DFT Scanity.
Other new sales include:
- Reel Loco in Singapore sets up DaVinci Resolve Mac with Resolve Control Surface
- New Smoke for Mac at editlounge, who already own a DaVinci Resolve for Mac
- 130 Nuke X Licenses sold to Nanyang Polytechnic, School of Interactive and Digital Media. There are now close to 300 Nuke educational licenses in Singapore alone!
- VHQ Singapore adds Nuke X to their visual effects arsenal
- Singapore Civil Defence Force upgrades their Macs and Facilis Terrablock SAN Storage

TRAINING
Our new training facility got off to a brisk start with 4 straight weeks of training that stretched from February to March. Highlights from the training courses can be found here.
And we're all set for our next round of post production and vfx training, with the following scheduled:

- Digital Compositing with Nuke - 16 to 20 May 2011
- Introduction to Smoke for Mac - 23 to 27 May 2011
